Welcome to Cornwall Medical

We are a well established, multi award winning medical centre based in Royal Oak at the foot of One Tree Hill.

We are a Cornerstone Accredited practice, and our GPs are Fellows of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners – the College’s highest quality standard for General Practice clinics and GPs respectively.

Our philosophy is based on being a caring and friendly practice delivering you the highest standard of primary healthcare long term. Our Doctors have their own dedicated patients so that they become familiar with you and your family’s health and well-being. From newborns to rest home care, we believe in providing quality comprehensive health care for all ages. We have looked after many generations of families over the years in this way and value this special relationship.

Our team of Nurses are similarly dedicated and have a wealth of knowledge and skills including wound care and dressings, immunisations, child healthcare, cervical smear taking, chronic pain management, travel vaccinations and general health advice. Our team based approach means our GPs and Nurses can cover each other if needed – delivering traditional general practice care while also being able to attend to urgent medical needs.

Consultations are by booked appointments for regular enrolled patients & take priority over walk-ins – excepting medical emergencies.

Located by the Royal Oak roundabout we have ample free parking behind the building. Wheelchair access is available both from the front and back entrances. There is also a Pharmacy and Dentist within the same building. A Physiotherapist and Podiatrist are situated next door. Radiology and Lab tests are within walking distance. We also have a visiting midwife and audiology service on site.
